About KATE
KATE is a community for foreigners living in Korea and for everyone who loves Korea. Members ask questions and share what they have learned about visas, housing, work, study, the Korean language and everyday life here.

Posts are grouped into nine topics: Learn Korean, Life in Korea, Visa, Jobs, Housing, School, K-Culture, Travel and Free Talk.
Anyone can read public posts and comments. Members can write, comment, like and save posts.
Posts stay in the language they were written in. Use the translation button on a post or comment to read it in your language.
How we keep it useful
Members can report posts and comments that break the community rules. Moderators review reports and may hide content, and every decision is recorded with a reason.
Visa posts run without ads so the information stays accurate. Check the immigration office for final decisions.
Levels and benefits
Members earn XP by taking part and move up through grades. Some grades unlock benefits from partner services such as FunPik and TOPIK PASS.
Who runs KATE
KATE is run by IDESIGNLAB, a Korean startup that builds services for people who learn Korean and live in Korea, including TOPIK PASS and FunPik.
